Are you a new Police Chief?

Posted in News

1. Congratulations! Good for you! 2. Please don’t assume that we already know about your appointment. (We usually do, but occasionally…….) Give us a call or drop us an e-mail and let us know. 3. We can help you navigate your first employment contract. Call our General Counsel, Eric Atstupenas, for this critical support. 4. Join the Mass. Chiefs of Police Association! YOU are our world, and we’re here to support you in every way we can. 5. Join a legal defense fund! We live in a litigious world, and this protection is essential to your wellbeing! Call us for details. 6. Attend the next meeting of your regional police Chief’s association. (We can help you with this.) 7. Attend the next Mass. Chief’s meeting, too! Your community expects you to be current on legal issues, employment law, the latest equipment, etc. We can help! 8. Get involved. 9. No, seriously. Get involved. Your new job demands a “community”. That’s us! (508) 839-5723 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Interim Police Chief services

Posted in News

We are happy to support Massachusetts communities in need of an interim Chief of Police. We maintain a current list of properly qualified Massachusetts Police Chiefs- typically recently retired- who are interested in serving as your interim Chief. Familiar with police departments across the Commonwealth, we can help identify a seasoned veteran from communities of similar size and demographics. Employment agreements, salary and benefits are individually negotiated between the community and the interim Chief, and there is no administrative or service charge to our member communities for this important service. No one knows the pool of seasoned, available law enforcement executives better than we do. Please Contact Executive Director Mark Leahy at (508) 839-5723 to discuss your specific needs.
