Dear Fellow Chiefs,
Last chance to join Team Police Chiefs for the 2026 Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber presented by Hyundai! The Walk is just over two weeks away on Sunday, October 4, and we invite you to lace up your sneakers and walk with us in support of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & the Jimmy Fund.
Choose from four in-person distances along the historic Boston Marathon® course — 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon — or walk virtually from your own community. Use code LASTCHANCE for 50% off your registration fee. (Note: In-person registration is available over event weekend at an increased fee ($40).
Every mile and every dollar raised helps support lifesaving research and compassionate care for Dana-Farber patients and families, and it remains the official charity supported by our Association.
Dana-Farber continues to make meaningful advances in cancer research and treatment, with several recent headlines highlighting that progress. These are momentous steps forward – and, more importantly, they mean more options, more possibilities, and more hope for patients and their families. See below for recent mission moments and highlights from Dana-Farber’s newsroom:
- FDA Approves Daraxonrasib for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer Following Landmark Clinical Trial Led by Dana-Farber
- FDA approves first CELMoD agent, with Dana-Farber helping advance its development

We currently have 98 team members signed up, and our goal is to beat last year’s count of 104. Help us get there and join us the first weekend of October. We appreciate your support, and we look forward to walking alongside you. As always, feel free to reach out to Jess Abbott with any questions.
