Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of Secretary of Public Safety and Security Gina K. Kwon, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) is pleased to invite you to the 43rd Annual Trooper George L. Hanna Memorial Awards for Bravery Ceremony, honoring law enforcement officers from across the Commonwealth for extraordinary acts of bravery and service. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the House Chamber of the Massachusetts State House in Boston. Governor Maura T. Healey will present the award to the recipients during the ceremony.
This year, the Commonwealth will recognize officers from the Boston, Burlington, Everett, Fall River, and Holyoke Police Departments. We hope you will join Secretary Gina K. Kwon for this special occasion as we recognize the courage, sacrifice, and distinguished service of this year’s honorees. We hope you will join us for this special occasion and kindly ask that you RSVP by October 2, 2026.
