Nomination Deadline: July 17, 2026
On behalf of Governor Healey, Lieutenant Governor Driscoll, and Secretary Gina K. Kwon, I want to inform you that the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) is forming the Selection Committee for the 2026 Madeline Amy Sweeney Awards for Civilian Bravery. You are invited to nominate individuals who have shown exceptional courage—without regard for personal safety—in efforts to save others from imminent danger, for the Selection Committee’s consideration. Please complete the attached nomination form, which is also available via the link below.
EOPSS must receive nominations by July 17, 2026, for acts of bravery performed between June 16, 2025, and June 15, 2026. The award will be presented to the recipient at the State House on Friday, September 11, 2026.
